Almost into March of 2010 now, the festival tent search has clearly begun with people looking for all in one festival kits. Just seen the re is bit of an early summer sale on for camping at Halfords and Millets for camping shops too. Had a looks at the Halfords offering and you can save almost half of the cost of a tent and the same with Millets too. They offer a good delivery service and are well know brand so it’s worth having a look at both shops, links below. Plus there is a Halfords voucher to save you an extra 5% too! Check prices on both sites before you purchase but there are indeed a few bargains to be had!
Just noticed that Teepee tents are becoming popular at a festival I just went to, now they are not as fast as teh pop up tents but still make a great festival tent. Seems to bring in a bit of a crowd too… There are a few teepee tents available on the internet the Vango ones seem too be pretty sturdy and well priced. Plus they seem to fit more people than the pop ups. Only issue is, I think you need to be more aware of your belongings with the teepee tent just as they stand out more to the general public and festival goer. A wigwam seems to shout out – “look at me”.The Vango Juno range of tents from Wilddayay is well priced and has fast delivery with a number of tent colours to choose from. Aside from for adults I think kids would find these really fun for playing in the garden too.
Yep, the festival season is well underway and searches for pop up tents have gone through the roof! Lattitude is on this week, sadly I’m not going but some friends of mine are and they’ve taken one of the tents to evaluate and report back on. So far they have tested getting it out in their back garden and have been happy to report back that they can actually get it back together into the backpack without too much fuss at all. They went for one of the Vango tent range with a double skin to ensure they were waterproof. Judging by the current weather though they needn’t have bothered. Glorious sunshine perfect for a festival.

FHM have just done a review on pop up tents and have decided that the best pop up available to the uk is the Vango Dart DS. Their review says that it’s so good because “Most pop-up tents are only good for blue-sky summers. This ready-in-seconds beauty isn’t. It has a double skin (DS), which makes it much more waterproof than it’s rivals. In other words: break the habbit and use it more than once.”
